Sarangkot day hiking is almost a necessity for those looking for a good hiking day in Pokhara.   • Day01

    Scenic short drive(15 mins approx.) to Pame(the starting point) and hike to Sarangkot Hill for 3-4 hrs and back . (Options you can either walk or drive to Sarankgot.)

    You can go to Sarangkot for day hiking within a day time. The hiking will not take you more than 3 to 4 hours and might stretch to 5 hours in case of any exceptional situations along the way. The day is likely to start from your hotel with a hearty breakfast. Make sure you fill yourself up with the right amount of food and water so that the rest of your hike goes soundly without you having to go hungry midway. Likewise, it is just as wise to carry along small snacks and water bottles in your backpack from the start. Your driver will pick you up and take you through a scenic drive of Pame. From here, you will be getting off at Sarangkot.

    One has the option to either hike to Sarangkot or directly take their private vehicle up to the location. Whatsoever, your day hiking starts from the bottommost part of Sarangkot. You will not be disappointed at the number of farmhouses in the villages on the way and terrace fields you will be coming through during your hike. The way up to the top of Sarangkot also serves you with beautiful scenarios of mountains and lakes. Visiting Sarangkot does not require you to go there on a specific season. Hence, you can go there at any time preferred by you, or that your schedule allows. As Pokhara is located in the hills, there aren’t any risks of going through a certain extreme weather conditions during a certain season. Winters are cold, and summers are hot as well. However, both seasons are bearable and do not make you go through struggles in any way whatsoever.
