Customer Reviews

  • My grandfather is from Nepal, and although I was born and raised in Australia—where both my father and I are citizens—we have continued to follow Hinduism, deeply rooted in our heritage. Because of this strong religious connection, I’ve always wanted to explore the sacred pilgrimage sites of Nepal.

I had only visited Nepal twice before but never had the chance to visit all the religious places. This time, I got in touch with Mr. Dhruba from Eco Holidays Nepal, who offered us a customized pilgrimage package. I knew of Mr. Dhruba through my father, who had previously used his car rental services in Nepal.

I travelled with my friend from Australia, and Mr. Dhruba personally came to pick us up from the airport and drop us off at our hotel. From the beginning of the tour, everything was perfectly organized. The pilgrimage sites were truly breathtaking—peaceful, spiritual, and full of history.

The overall service was excellent. The food quality in Nepal was surprisingly good, and the people were extremely kind, honest, and welcoming.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Eco Holidays Nepal for organizing such a beautiful and spiritual journey for us. It was a memorable experience, and I would definitely recommend them 100% to anyone planning to visit Nepal.

    Thank you so much!

Overview of Pilgrimage Holidays to Nepal with Eco Holidays Nepal

In Eco Holidays Nepal, we have been specializing in providing our clients with the best experience during their tours. For pilgrimage holidays in Nepal, we will be taking our valued clients to some of the major places considered pilgrim havens, like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Manakamana, and Muktinath.

Kathmandu

In Kathmandu, there are plenty of places you will be visiting. In the Kathmandu Durbar Square area, you will be visiting the beautiful architectural marvels, which are also great places for pilgrims. These places include Basantapur’s Bhairav statue, Pashupatinath temple, Swoyambhonath temple, and Bouddhanath stupa. These places have, since the earliest time, been blessing pilgrims who come to visit Nepal from foreign countries. A lot of these pilgrimage sites do not cost you any sum of money, which in itself shows the value of religion in the country.

When in Kathmandu, you will definitely appreciate the presence of the living goddess Kumari, a child goddess who is considered to be the reincarnation of goddess Taleju (manifestation of goddess Durga). The beauty of Swoyambhunath, or the monkey temple of Kathmandu, is another place where you can find devotees lining up. The place becomes all the more special as numerous monkeys have made the place their habitat. As for the Pashupatinath temple, the temple was built several years ago and has great significance for Hindu devotees, with Lord Shiva being the main god worshipped here. The temple is also a crematorium, which is situated on the banks of the Bagmati River. Bouddhanath stupa is another holy pilgrimage, which is the biggest stupa in Nepal, where several Buddhist and Hindu devotees come to pay their respects and prayers throughout the year.

Manakamana Temple

Manakamana temple, located in the Gorkha district, is one of the holiest temples in Nepal. There are lots of animal sacrifices in the temple throughout the year. Goddess Manakamana has been said to be the one who fulfills the wishes of her devotees, whoever worships her with their heart. You can see the views of mountains like Manaslu and Ganesh Himal from atop this temple. Moreover, you will be getting to the temple from a cable car, which will take you 2.8 km.

Pokhara

Pokhara has some of the best pilgrimage sites in Nepal. During your visit to the city, you will be going to Mahendra Barahi Temple, Phewa Lake, Davi’s Fall, Gupteswor Cave, and World Peace Pagoda. These places are famous among both Hindu and Buddhist devotees from all around the world.

Muktinath temple

Muktinath temple in the Mustang district of Nepal has been visited by many Hindu pilgrims from all around the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple holds a very strong significance among the devotees of the religion. A temple with an idol of Lord Vishnu, 108 water spouts, and a natural flame that never goes out are some of the best aspects of Muktinath. With magnificent mountain views, one can pray to god and get the most divine experience. Furthermore, the water sprouts are famous for having erased the sins of people. Several devotees can be seen bathing in the sprouts.
