Trekking Upper Dolpo in Off-Seasons

Summer/ Monsoon Season

In the summer/monsoon season (June, July and August) the trails can get slippery and muddy. When there is rainfall, traversing can be relatively difficult because of the muddy trail and extra caution should be taken in every step.

On clear days, the beautiful views of hills and snow capped peaks can be seen which will elevate your sightseeing experience. The sights of misty mountains are mesmerizing to witness during this time. However, in forested areas, there may be leeches because of the moist environment, which can create an unpleasant experience for trekkers. A good level of preparation and knowledge of weather patterns is required if you want to embark on the trek in the summer/monsoon months.

Winter Season

In winter (December, January and February), the ethereal beauty of enchanting landscapes can be seen as they are covered with snow. However, in the higher regions, the weather is extremely cold and handling the cold weather can be quite challenging for some trekkers. While the views of snowy terrains and mountains are unparalleled, you need to dress in layers and pack heavy warm clothes to protect yourself from the cold.

Unforgettable Upper Dolpo Trek with Eco Holidays Nepal

I can say that I have done one of the best treks in the world—that is the Upper Dolpo Trek. On this trek, I saw different types of species, and I had the chance to explore the remote parts of Nepal.

This trek is one of the unexplored treks in Nepal, and only a few people go there. I feel lucky that I got the chance to experience it. It was an amazing experience to witness the beauty of nature during this trek.

I want to thank the entire team of Eco Holidays Nepal for helping me and creating one of the best moments of my life.

Wonderful Upper Dolpo Trek Experience with Eco Holidays Nepal

I have recently completed the Upper Dolpo Trek in Nepal with Eco Holidays Nepal, and the experience was very nice. Even in such a remote place where there is no possibility for any vehicles to go, the service was excellent.

I was surprised by the people. Everyone greeted each other by saying "Namaste" even if they did not know one another. The culture and traditions of the Tibetan people in that region were also truly fantastic.

I want to thank all the team members, our guide, and Mr. Dhruba Dharel for helping me complete this unforgettable trek.

Amazing Upper Dolpo Trek with Eco Holidays Nepal

I have done the Upper Dolpo Trek with Eco Holidays Nepal, and it was the best trek. What I liked the most was the excellent service provided by Eco Holidays Nepal. The pickup and drop-off, the accommodation in urban areas, and especially the food they provided in remote places where vehicles cannot go—it was all fantastic.

I want to thank our guide and Mr. Dhruba Dharel, the Managing Director of Eco Holidays Nepal, for helping us complete the trek. Thanks to all for the best service I received.
