Sarangkot Day Hiking is a short walk on the nearby hills within scenic Pokhara City and the valley. Pokhara is on a verdant valley surrounded by rolling green hills, lovely farm villages, and well-tended terraces. Along with these fabulous views, the Annapurna Himalaya range mountains and its beautiful lakes, Phewa and Begnas, are things to see from the hilltop.
The Sarangkot Hilltop, above 1,460 meters high, is an excellent viewpoint for sunrise and sunset. These reflect on the chain of Himalayan peaks from Dhaulagiri in the far west, with the Annapurna range in the central north with Lamjung and Manaslu Himalaya in the east directions.
This Day Hiking around Pokhara offers superb views of Pokhara Valley and its calm Phewa Lake. At the same time, this scenic hill is also famous for adventure sports like Para-Gliding and Zip Flyers. All of these start from this famous and popular viewpoint hill of Sarangkot.
On this hike, either drive back to Pokhara or stay for an overnight stop in the lodge nearby Phewa Lake. So that early morning, you can catch sunrise views over various mountains.
