Dhampus Day Hiking takes you beyond the beautiful city of Pokhara. The charming Pokhara city is adorned with impressive views of Annapurna peaks with towering Machhapuchhre Himal (Mt. Fishtail). You can also observe the beautiful reflection of these Himalayas on its tranquil Phewa and Begnas Lakes.
Dhampus is located in the Mid-West region of Nepal in the suburb of Pokhara Valley. The trip starts with a short drive, and then we hike from low, warm farm areas to reach cooler hills. And finally, to the ridges at Dhampus village. The village offers a fascinating panorama of Annapurna-Manaslu and Lamjung Himal range with majestic Machhapuchhre Himal.
Dhampus Day Hiking, besides its amazing scenery of the Annapurna Himalaya range and unique, beautiful landscapes, the culture of the local Gurung village is equally worth taking.
After enjoying the views and culture at Dhampus, we further walk up to Australian Camp or Thulo Kharka on this Pokhara Day Hiking. It’s also a scenic place within the forest, with surrounding views of snow-capped peaks, and then we descend downhill to the small village of Kande for a drive back to Pokhara.
