It’s a three days trek package and starts from Kathmandu. We take a scenic drive of 6-7 hours towards the east from the city, bypassing very beautiful villages, valleys, crystal clear rivers, bridges, spiral roads, and some beautiful viewpoints like Khari Dhunga on the way. Then we finally reached the starting point of our trek, Makaibari. This is also the destination for our first overnight stay. The place is nearby Charikot which is also the capital of Dolakha district.
The next day, we started our hike toward our destination. Today's hike takes 6-7 hours to reach the beautiful village of Kuri. On the way, you will witness panoramic mountain views of the local people, their traditions, and their culture. The trekking trail is somehow vehicle friendly, but during Kalinchowk snowfall, it’s very hard to take a drive and make it to Kuri village. After reaching this amazing village, we’re done for today and taking an overnight stay here.

We wake up early in the morning and hike to the top of Kalinchowk, where you see Kalinchwok temple, praying flags, and bells dedicated to the famous Kalinchowk Bhagawati. A Beautiful Family Trip to Kalinchowk with Eco Holidays Nepal
We are originally from India but currently live in the UK. Our whole family planned a trip to India to celebrate Diwali, and afterward, we decided to visit Nepal. As devotees of Durga and Devi, we especially wanted to visit the Kalinchowk Bhagawati Temple.
After celebrating Diwali in India, we traveled to Nepal and explored the Kathmandu Valley. Then, we headed to Kalinchowk for darshan. We also planned a short trek, and my friend Dhruba took care of all the arrangements for us. Everything was perfectly managed—from transportation to trekking requirements.
Visiting Kalinchowk, trekking through the scenic trails, and playing in the snow made it one of the most memorable moments we've had as a family in a long time.
I want to sincerely thank the entire team at Eco Holidays Nepal and our wonderful guide for their help and support throughout the trip. Thank you, Eco Holidays Nepal!

Beautiful Kalinchowk Trek – Felt Like Switzerland!
I did the Kalinchowk trek with Eco Holidays Nepal, and it was a wonderful experience. The trek was very enjoyable, especially because of the good food and comfortable accommodation provided by the team.
Our guide was extremely friendly and kind, which made the journey even more pleasant. I haven’t been to Switzerland, but based on pictures I've seen, Kalinchowk gave me a similar feeling with its stunning snowy landscapes.
I want to thank Eco Holidays Nepal for their excellent support and for making our trek smooth and successful.

Beautiful Kalinchowk Trek with Mr Dhruba
I have already done many treks in Nepal, such as EBC, Langtang, and other tour destinations. This is my 12th visit to Nepal, but this time, I didn’t have much time.
I did this trek in the winter of 2024. My friend Dhruba suggested that if you have limited time, Kalinchok is the best option for trekking.
Actually, my father is from Nepal and my mother is from the US. My father is very spiritual, and through him, I have also developed a strong belief in God. I think this trek is a perfect short option for both spirituality and photography.
Thanks to Mr. Dhruba and Eco Holidays Nepal for organizing this trek.
