Want to trek in the pristine landscapes of the Everest region? The Everest Base Camp trek is a spectacular journey in the Himalayan foothills. However, the thrilling journey also comes with numerous challenges. The trails include high-altitude, remote terrains you must traverse during this trek.

We have developed the Everest Base Camp trek helicopter return package to address this difficulty. This spectacular trekking package from “Eco Holidays Nepal” offers a unique adventure combining rugged trekking with luxury travel. This reduces the Everest Base Camp trek difficulty and adds a unique aspect to the adventure journey. And if you want to trek your way to the Everest Base Camp but you find 12 days a bit too much, we have another trek package, the Short Everest Base Camp Trek, for you where you could enjoy the experience and thrills of trekking the Everest Base Camp in relatively less time.

This trek also shares the same classical route to the Everest Base Camp. However, the facilities along the trails have improved immensely. Hence, you can get the best luxury facilities even at a high altitude. The EBC trek plus heli return package also reduces the journey by 4-5 days.

There are cultural heritage sites and landmarks that you can observe along the trail as well. The beautiful trek also allows you to explore the region culturally with the help of a guide. The local people’s lifestyle and traditions will enchant you along the trails. The Sherpa community is in the majority in the region, followed by Bhotia, Tamang, Limbu, and others.

From Kathmandu, you will board a scenic mountain flight to Lukla. Lukla is the starting point of your journey to the rugged Everest region. The beautiful trail traverses through the territories of the Sagarmatha National Park. We can also experience alpine wildlife and vegetation in the area.

The trail then takes you through the numerous settlements of the Everest region, including Phakding and Monjo, to arrive at Namche. At Namche, you will acclimatize and explore the neighboring hills. Trekkers will then traverse through Tengboche and Dingboche. Dingboche is the second acclimatization point in the Everest Base Camp trek.

From Dingboche, you will trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorak Shep. The Everest Base Camp is a spectacular destination with a bustling atmosphere. The entire Himalayan landscape looks incredible from the base camp. You will then return to Gorak Shep after exploring around for the night.

On the following day of this Everest Base Camp Trek, you will hike the Kalapatthar. From the stunning Kalapathar viewpoint, you can observe the entire panorama of the Everest Himalayas. The view of Mt. Everest (8848.86 m) is spectacular from this viewpoint. Besides that, you can observe Lhotse, Pumori, Nuptse, Makalu, and other Himalayan peaks.

Trekkers can observe the golden sun rays falling on the silver Himalayas, which is quite a scenic experience. The beautiful trip ends as you take a helicopter ride back to Kathmandu after descending to Gorakshep. The beautiful helicopter return tour offers an aerial perspective of the entire Himalayas.

The Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter return is quite a popular trekking package. Contact us at “Eco Holiday Nepal” for more information and bookings. Happy Traveling!

    • Fantastic Service.

From the very first contact Eco Holidays Nepal went out of there way to make sure we had a seamless trip. We were picked up at the airport by a friendly driver. It was easy to add activities on the fly. Communication and payment options were easy to navigate online. When we needed more assistance at the end of our trip, eco holidays Nepal was there for us! This is as close as you’re going to get to having a personal “fixer”. I will be back to Nepal and EHN will be my first contact for trip planning.

Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return FAQS

    Essential Information

Options for Private and Group Joining

There are modes of package you can choose for your Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal. The standard mode is a group joining, where you will join a group and set out on the exploration on a predetermined date.

In such an option, you will have no control over who joins the group. Trekkers from all over the world join the group, and the agency moves along with the set itinerary plans after a minimum number threshold is met.

As for the private joining option, only the trekkers you have chosen will join the group. Although this mode is slightly more costly than the group joining option, you will be able to enjoy a personalized experience.

You will not have to join random strangers for this iconic trip and just travel with people you prefer. Another good thing about the private joining option is that you will have full flexibility and can also determine the start date as per your preference.

    Food and Accommodation

The Everest region is one of the popular regions for both mountaineering and trekking adventures. So, accommodation and food services during your trek in this mainstream region will be of good caliber.

    Accommodation

Typically, there are three types of accommodation facilities that you can use during this trek. The teahouse is one of the most common modes of accommodation on this route. Similarly, as for the luxurious mode, there are lodges available on the route.

Compared to teahouses, lodges provide luxurious amenities and premium touches. Also, there is a camping option if you want to feel like a true adventurer. However, as the guide has to carry all the equipment from the lower region, the cost of camping can be slightly higher.

    Food

As this is one of the most popular destinations in the Himalayas for mountain- related sports, the food menus available on this route are also quite extensive. You will be able to dine on even premium menus at the lower region that houses popular Himalayan towns.

As for the general options, you can enjoy a wide range of cultural delicacies. Mostly, Sherpa dishes and other cultural delicacies from different regions are the major highlights of the teahouses. Besides those, you will also be able to enjoy a few of the Indian, Tibetan, and Western menus.

Note: Even if you are vegan or vegetarian, you will be able to enjoy meals of your preference during this trek. A majority of the population of the country is vegetarian, so restaurants and hotels generally prepare both options.
