As we have already discussed earlier, the spring and autumn seasons are two of the most popular and high seasons to enjoy the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek. The weather of the region is most stable during this period, and the temperatures are also quite pleasant.
During the springtime, the temperature of the region is around 17°C to 25°C during the daytime. At night and early dawn, the temperature can fall as low as -5°C. Similarly, the temperatures in the autumn season are also on the pleasant side, averaging between 15°C and 20°C.
In case of night temperature, it can drop up to, -10°C during autumn. Just make note that the lower regions are generally warm, and as you ascend to the higher altitudes, temperatures start to drop gradually. So, even if you are doing this trek in these high seasons, you have to consider the factor that regions near the alpine zone (4,000- 5,000m) and above are generally cold.
Temperatures of the Everest Region During Low Seasons
Monsoon (June to August) is the core period of the summer season and receives a lot of rainfall. The temperature of the Everest region during the monsoon, is around 15°C to 30°C during the day and can fall up to -15°C at night.
As for the winter (December to February), the coldest month on the mountain, the temperature generally hovers around 4°C to 17°C in the daytime and falls up to -20°C at night.
