    Annapurna Circuit Trekking 16 days

Trekking the Annapurna circuit will delight all trekkers in this scenic and cultural adventure. Surely, your time will be enjoyable, facing constant views of the alluring panorama of mountains on these beautiful walks.

Annapurna circuit is one of the few areas on this planet blessed with natural wonders. From climate scenery landscapes to varied impressive cultures, you will witness this amazing adventure.

The Trek to Annapurna circuit is listed as world’s top ten adventure destinations. The reason behind this is you will start walking from low warm paddy fields of sub-tropical temperatures to cooler green hills. Furthermore, you will move on toward the arctic zone of ice and glaciers at the magnificent high Manang Valley.

As climate changes while trekking, green vegetation and tall trees are replaced by dwarf bushes of juniper and azalea. This happens within arid and barren landscapes enclosed between the high peaks of Annapurna and Chulus peaks.

Our fabulous Annapurna Circuit Trekking commences with an interesting overland journey from the capital Kathmandu. Head to the Mid-West Himalaya range to begin our walks from the warm low country following the raging Marysangdi River right up to its glacial source at Manang valley.

Then walk into high cooler hills covered with lovely woodland of tall rhododendron-magnolia-pines-oaks to fir tree lines. As well as visit farm hill villages of varied Nepalese old cultures of both Hinduism and Buddhism. When our route leads to higher areas, we enter a country dominated by the Buddhist religion with fascinating ancient traditions and age-old heritage.

On reaching the scenic and beautiful high Manang valley after passing the villages of Jagat-Dharapani and Chame town, tree lines disappear. The deserted and arid country of Manang will provide rest days to get acclimatize before heading over the high and scenic Thorang-la pass.

Manang village is enriched with old colorful Buddhist culture. So, visit its impressive monastery. Then our adventure continues facing views of high snow-clad peaks to reach the highest spot of the journey at Thorang-la pass. Annapurna Circuit trek altitude is 5,416 m at Thorang la pass. From there, enjoy the spectacular panorama of surrounding beautiful landscapes and views of the Dhaulagiri-Annapurna and Chulus peaks.

A long descent brings you to the lower Mustang area in the holy Muktinath temple premises. Explore the sacred Hindu temple, a famous pilgrimage spot for Hindu and Buddhist worshipers. The name Muktinath means a place to liberate yourself.

From this high and exciting village, drop to Kaligandaki River valley to reach Jomsom, the headquarter of Mustang district. And then, head towards warmer areas through the Kaligandaki River gorge, in between the giant peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Moreover, Kaligandaki is the world’s deepest gorge (20 times deeper than Grand Canyon in the USA).

As the adventure continues, head low into warmer paddy field areas and the farm village of Tatopani. A place with a natural hot spring to refresh you. Then take a long climb back into the dense rhododendron forest to reach at Ghorepani. And hike to Poon Hill for an awesome panorama of a mountain range with stunning sunrise views.

After eyeing the pleasant panorama of Annapurna-Dhaulagiri and Manaslu range with majestic Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail and sunrise, get back to Pokhara city. Enjoy its serene Phewa Lake, located on the lap of the massive Annapurna Himalayas.
