    To view Mt Everest(8,848.86m) from a close range is a dream for aspirant mountain lovers. For that reason, Everest Base Camp Trek, a trek to the base camp of Mt Everest, is world famous. However, not everyone can do such a lengthy and arduous trek. There had to be one good alternative.

    Everest View Trek 5 Days is for such Everest aspirants. As the name says, it is a five day trek that takes you to the Everest Region to view Mt Everest and its beautiful abode. Unlike Everest Base Camp Trek, it is short and comfortable.

    Walkers of any experience can do this walk and observe Everest from close, in its home. The journey is not so demanding that you must train or try hard. Likewise, the odds of altitude sickness are not prevalent as it is a low-altitude trek. This is for you if you can trek for 5-6 hours for several days.

    Everest View Trek begins with a scenic and thrilling flight to Lukla. The same day, after landing in Lukla, you do a short hike to Phakding from Lukla. On the next day, you do a good day of trekking to Namche Bazaar. The whole walk is fantastic for many reasons. This way, you reach Namche Bazaar in the evening.

    The next day, the places like Khumjung Village, Everest View Hotel, and Namche Bazaar itself will be on the list. You will have an exciting and happening day around these sites. Khumjung is one beautiful Sherpa village. Likewise, Everest View Hotel is a panoramic hotel known for the best Everest View. Namche Bazaar is one of the most lively towns in the Himalayas.

    In five days, you will have numerous occasions of beautiful mountain views, natural walks, fantastic sightseeing, and cultural exposure.     • Day01

      Fly to Lukla(2,800m) and Trek to Phakding(2,652m)

      Trek Duration: 3-4 hours

      As you might already know, our Everest View Trek will begin with the Lukla flight. We will catch a morning flight by getting to Kathmandu’s domestic terminal. As our craft takes on skies, we will have a spellbinding view across our window.

      Those with window seats are the luckiest ones. The long Himalayas range is viewable while in the above high clouds. Alongside, we will catch amazing sights of Nepal’s diverse topography and vegetation.

      After the 30 minutes of flight in a heaven-like place, our airplane will gently lower to touch Lukla Airport. Also known as Tenzing Hillary Airport, Lukla Airport is one of the most scenic flights in the world. We will make a safe touchdown at the airport.

      Following our landing, we will prepare for our day’s second part, the trek to Phakding. But we will eat something at one of the eateries in Lukla before heading away. There is nothing to worry about as we must trek for 3 to 4 hours.

      Taking a downsloping trail, we will leave Lukla and enter a forested area. On the walk ahead, we will cross some small villages of sherpas. The Dudh Koshi River will also come along. We will reach Phakding comfortably for a beautiful night.

    • Day02

      Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3,440m)

      Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

      The excitement of seeing Namche Bazaar will open our eyes in the morning. We will get fresh, have breakfast and then leave Phakding. It is one of the most exciting days of the Everest View Trek for suspension bridges. We will use plenty of them to cross the Dudh Koshi River that flows via the valley.

      The second day is long, but we will love every bit of it. After walking for some hours, we will reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo. Our hike will happen via a pleasing pine forest in between. As said earlier, we will reach the riverbed of the Dudh Koshi River several times. That is also an equally beautiful time to trek along the Himalayan rivers.

      While crossing one of those bridges, we will see the first glimpses of Mt Everest and its neighbors. After Monjo, we will trek gradually to arrive in Jorsale, a village full of pine forests. Tiny other towns will also come across.

      An uphill from the Dudh Koshi River is the ladder to Namche Bazaar. This particular part of the day can be demanding. It is a steady slow climb from Hillary Suspension Bridge and ends in Namche Bazaar.

      Following a walk full of woods and bridges, we will reach the town full of hotels and lodges. Namche Bazaar is the region's center. We will unload our backpacks in our teahouse to explore the city in the evening. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

    • Day03

      Hike to Khumjung(3790m), Visit the Everest View Hotel(3,880m) and go back to Namche(3,440m)

      Waking up in Namche around 7-8 AM, we will prepare for another exciting day of Everest View Trek. It is exciting because we will explore one of the largest Sherap villages in Nepal. Also, we will reach Everest View Hotel(3,880m), one of the world’s highest hotels.

      Firstly, we will go after Khumjung village. We will eat breakfast in Namche and join the trail of Khumjung village. The iconic settlement is only 2 km away from Namche Bazaar.

      As we descend to the village, we will find green roofs of the scattered houses. We will reach there shortly and explore the village area. It also has a monastery in the center. The alleys in the village are bordered with stones. We will see and meet the locals.

      After finishing the Khumjung village visit, we will hike towards Everest View Hotel. The hotel is on a hilltop, so we will walk on a steep trail to reach the hotel. We’ll start seeing Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and many other peaks when we enter the hotel. We can even get views of vegetation and villages around. It will be the best time to view Everest.

      We will stop for our lunch at the hotel. Eating right before the grand views is the best part of the Everest View Hotel. We will do that. After having a good time at the hotel, we will return to Namche Bazaar. If we return to Namche earlier, we can explore the town more. In this way, we will spend the second day of the Everest View Trek.

    • Day04

      Trek from Namche down to Lukla(2,800m)

      Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

      Accommodation: Teahouse

      After viewing Everest from Everest View Hotel and other parts of the trek, it is time to return to Lukla. We ascend this much only on this trek. So we will pack our bags to leave Namche Bazaar. With some fresh memories in the town, we will put it behind by joining a downhill walk.

      The trek back to Lukla happens on the same route. We will be retracing the same trail. That means we will cross all those suspension bridges and cascade Dudh Koshi River.

      We will pass via the rich vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park once again. Those tiny hamlets by the Dudh Koshi River will also come along. We will have the fun we had on the first and second days of the Everest View Trek. Yes, the walk will be a bit long and tiring. But the fantastic views in the backdrop will keep us moving. Likewise, we will meet trekkers and locals along the way.

      Walking along the Dudh Koshi River, we will reach Lukla. A celebration is a must in Lukla upon arriving in Lukla. We will do a small celebration on completing the Everest View Trek 5 Days. It will be an unforgettable night in Lukla.

    • Day05

      Fly back to Kathmandu

      Flight Duration: 30 minutes

      Our last day will start with a good morning in Lukla. After waking up and doing an early morning walk, we will prepare for our Kathmandu flight. Our teahouse staff will offer us a farewell breakfast.

      The Kathmandu flights from Lukla typically happen pretty early. We will take one of the flights. During the flight of 30-35 minutes, we will get to watch the fantastic panorama once again. Just like that, we will reach Kathmandu to land.

      We will head to our hotel in Kathmandu to lay off our loads and body. If you are not too tired, we can go on a round city tour. Kathmandu has excellent sites for culture, heritage, and architecture. The five days of Everest View Trek, full of Everest views, will end here.
