For your Mount Everest Base Camp Trek, you can choose various visa options. Travelers are generally issued ‘On Arrival’ visas after landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You can also apply for a visa at the nearest embassy in your country. The nationals who are not eligible for the ‘On Arrival’ visa should get it from the nearest Nepali embassy in their country.

There are generally three types of Nepali tourist visas that you can get for your trip:

    • Visa with 15-day validity—US$ 30
    • Visa with 30-day validity—US$ 50
    • Visa with 90-days validity—US$ 125

If you are planning to stay longer than the initial assigned visa period, you will also be able to extend. You will need to get at least a 15-day visa extension for your stay, which will cost US$ 45.
