Starting from Kathmandu city, head towards its eastern rim of the valley into farm villages and the town of Lubu. The walk begins towards high and scenic Lakuri-Bhanjyang with a grand panorama of Central Himalayan peaks. With Manaslu-Ganesh-Langtang-Jugal Himal as far as Gaurishankar Mountains.

Enjoy views downhill within the pristine forested area to reach the old traditional Panauti village and Balthali, a typical Tamang Heritage village. Visit Dada Gaun of  Buddhist culture, then end with a hike to Namobuddha. It is a sacred Buddhist place in, tranquility, observing the Buddhist way of life and culture.

Nearly all months of the year except the monsoon wet months from mid-June to mid-September. March to May is the best time for Balthali to Namobuddha trek due to the clear views until the afternoon. At the same time, wildflowers are in bloom with fantastic views of mountains. A pleasant day with a cooler morning and nighttime.

Another best trekking season for Balthali to Namobuddha Hike is October to December for clear views of peaks. Short sunlight days can be cold in the morning and night time. It depends upon the altitude and overnight stops.
