From Jiri, a short drive leads towards our point of trekking. Then head through rural farm villages populated with mixed of hill tribes of eastern Nepal. And then head towards high into the Sherpa country of Solu region, crossing the high and scenic Lamjura-la pass to reach one of the charming villages at Junbesi.
With an interesting time at Junbesi, a slow walk leads towards Ringmo village to cross over Takshindo-la to reach the nice village of Nunthala and way down to warmer areas of Jubing. Now, our trail heads higher to more chilled areas at Bupsa and then at Surkhe village within the Khumbu region.
After being in quiet areas of Solu with less number of trekkers, on joining the main trail coming from Lukla where you encounter more trekkers following the same trail to Everest Base Camp, as our route leads much higher visiting nice Sherpa villages adorned with prayer monuments called Mani-Wall and spinning bells.
Slowly walk follows the raging Dudh-Kosi River and high above to reach at famed Namche Bazaar, the hub of Khumbu and Everest region, an exciting town and a large village with many facilities from well-stocked stores-shops-restaurants and banks including a nice Porsche lodge.
At Namche, with time for a rest day to support against AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), with acclimatization side walk and a short hike to some viewpoints facing incredible views of Everest, Amadablam, and Lhotse with an array of peaks.
As the walk progress enters more beautiful areas at Tengboche, with its impressive monastery surrounded by a series of peaks with Everest and close views of majestic Amadablam, located in the midst of alpine woodland.
Our adventure continues as tree lines disappear for arid and barren landscapes getting closer to the high mountains of Khumbu, then reaching our main target and highlighting at Everest base camp within massive glaciers and Khumbu jumbo Ice-Falls.
After enjoying a magnificent time at base camp, our next adventure leads to a steep climb but worth the views enclosed with giant peaks that straddle the border with Tibet on the other side of the mountains, facing close views of Mt. Everest and lofty dome-shaped Mt. Pumori.
After an incredible and exciting moment, our adventure leads downhill back to Namche Bazaar. And then back at Lukla, the gateway town for various treks around Khumbu, where the unique airstrip is located.

Best Seasons for Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trekking:
Nearly all months of the year except the monsoon wet months from mid-June to mid-September.
March to May best time for clear views till the afternoon when wildflowers are in bloom with fantastic views of mountains. A pleasant day with more cold mornings and nighttime is expected.
Another best time is October to December for clear views of peaks. With short sunlight, days can be cold in the morning and night time, depending upon the altitude and overnight stop.
